Objectives

Welcome to UniCredit & Universities!

According to Article 11 of the Foundation’s statute, the Scientific Committee plays a fundamental role in the Foundation by selecting the best students and researchers from among the award applicants. The committee determines the merit rankings through which the Board of Directors allocates all grants and scholarships.

The Scientific Committee may also be asked by the foundation’s Board of Directors to provide support in evaluating the foundation’s initiatives. To be valid, the Scientific Committee’s decisions must be approved by a majority of its members, who are expected to meet at least twice a year, subject to the chairman’s invitation. The Foundation’s Board of Directors appoints the Scientific Committee, which is comprised of at least five members selected from among academics and researchers. The Secretary General is also a member of the committee.

The Scientific Committee’s term of office is two years, and members can be reappointed.
