Support for research - Giovanna Crivelli

The Giovanna Crivelli Fellowships (which entered their second edition in 2008) are designed to support the return to Italy of great Italian minds. Indeed, the Crivelli Fellowships target the most talented researchers who completed their undergraduate studies in Italy and went on to earn a Ph.D. in economics or finance abroad; they may currently be teaching or researching abroad with the intention of returning to continue their studies at an Italian university.

In 2008, UniCredit granted one fellowship in memory of Giovanna Crivelli (for the second edition) of €60,000. The winner, Emilio Calvano, received his award from the Group’s Chairman, Mr. Rampl, and the CEO, Mr. Profumo. In 2009 the Foundation launched the first edition of the Ugo Foscolo Europe Fellowship, open to European researchers for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Since 2010, all the UniCredit & Universities fellowships will be open to the best researchers from all over Europe and named "Foscolo Europe".
