The call for the Foscolo Europe fellowship 2011 - 3^ edition is now closed. The fellowship will be awarded by 15 January 2012.

The Foscolo Europe Fellowship, in its 3^ edition, is intended to support the homecoming of great European minds. The fellowships are aimed at the most talented researchers who initially graduated from European universities and then went on to complete a Ph.D. in economics or finance outside of the continent; applicants must still be teaching or researching abroad, with an intention to return to Europe to continue their research.

These fellowships cover a two-year period of research, and they are renewable for additional two years. The Fellowship amounts to € 60,000 per year (gross of taxes).

In 2010 UniCredit awarded one Foscolo Fellowship to Mirco Tonin, a young Italian researcher at the University of Southampton who wiil continue his research at the Department of Economics of the Central European University in Budapest.

The winners of the previous editions are Emiliano Santoro and Emilio Calvano.
