Support for studies - Ugo Foscolo Europe

Beginning with 2009, the Foundation has granted a new “Ugo Foscolo Europe Scholarship” in memory of Knight of Labor Ugo Foscolo, the former chairman of Banco di Roma. This scholarship wanted to expand the geographical scope of the Foundation’s activities by financing the studies of one of Europe’s best students in the field of economics.

The first Ugo Foscolo Europe Scholarship targeted highly talented young students of all nationalities, graduated from any European university in the fields of economics or finance and planning to continue their studies abroad (at any University in Europe, including those countries where the Group is not present) in a Ph.D. program.

This scholarship was provided for one year, renewable for a second year. It was offered in the form of an annual sum of €25,000. The winner was Audinga Baltrunaite from Bocconi University of Milan. The Awarding Ceremony will be held on June 14, 2010 in Milan.

Since 2010,  the UniCredit & Universities scholarships will be open to the best graduates from all over Europe and named "Crivelli Europe".
